Newport, Rhode Island

My summer home since 2009.

I've been fortunate to spend my summers in this small beach town ever since Richie & I started dating - it's kind of become our place & it will always hold a special place in my heart!

If you've never been, get your pen & paper ready because I'm giving you alllllll the reasons why Newport should be added to your must visit list!

CLIFF WALK. This famous ocean-side walkway gives visitors a scenic backyard look at some of Newport's famous mansions. Cliff Walk runs 3.5 miles long with various entrance/ exit points. Map your path here!

SWEET BERRY FARM. Summer's never tasted as sweet as it does here @ SBF! Pick your own berries, apples or even sunflowers at this local farm. Into brownies instead? Sweet Berry is also known for their delicious baked goods & offers daily lunch specials! Be sure to check their picking schedule to see what's being picked when you're in town!

LOBSTA PLEASE. Nothing says New England like a chilled or warm-butter lobster roll! My favorite spots : The Lobster Shack & The Mooring.

BLACK PEARL CLAM CHOWDER. The Black Pearl is a well-known restaurant located on Bowen's Wharf & offers three different dining options: the Tavern Room, perfect for every occasion, Commodore's Room for an upscale dining experience & the Patio. Luckily all three areas offer their world-famous clam chowder! A MUST TRY!

DEL'S LEMONADE. A Rhode Island favorite - originally from Naples, Italy, Del's Frozen Lemonade can be found at just about every hot spot in Newport! Stop into one of their locations or find one of their iconic Del's trucks at one of Newport's local beaches! Be sure to taste Del's original lemon flavor + their summertime watermelon flavor!

BOWEN'S WHARF. This wharf is home to the cutest boutiques offering local-made goods + Newport-style clothing, accessories, home-goods, and everything in between!

THE BLACK DOG. Located at Bowen's Wharf, TBD is a brand that's almost synonymous with New England! If you're looking for a souveineer for all ages & species, you'll be sure to find one here.

OCEAN DRIVE. This famous 10-mile drive is one for the books! Ocean Drive offers a water-side view of Newport like no other. You'll pass breathtaking views & get a glance at the wealth which Newport was built on.

BELLEVUE AVE. Hello future home! Take a stroll down this historic, mansion-lined avenue and feast your eyes on some of the most spectacular mansions around! Bellevue Ave is most notably known for Rosecliff, The Marble House, and The Breakers.

NEWPORT VINEYARD. Rosé way! One of my favorite spots on the island - stop in at any time for a wine tasting flight of Newport's very best! *Bellevue Blush is my fave!

* A FEW LOCAL FAVES: *

THE BEST COFFEE @ MOKKA. These brews & specialty drinks are YUM + their garden area is great for a cute photo opportunity!

THE BEST BREAKFAST @ GARY'S. Located on Thames St right across the street from Mokka, this diner-like spot voted best breakfast in Newport is known for their delicious comfort food & affordable prices. PS BRING CASH!

THE BEST SEAFOOD @ ANTHONY'S SEAFOOD. As seen on 'Diners, Drive-In's, & Dives' - this seafood joint is a local favorite! My recommendation: Portuguese Fish Chowder & Mussels with butter.

THE BEST COLD-PRESSED JUICE @ THE POWER OF JUICE. I stop here every time I'm in town!! If you're a carrot lover - Carrot Top is SO good!

THE BEST ICE CREAM @ FROSTY FREEZE. This adorable ice cream hot spot offer just about any flavor you can imagine! A must try if you're a big sweet tooth like I am :)
