Life Lately

Where do I even begin!

It’s been a good 3+ years since my last blog post & boy, has my life changed — in the best ways possible.

For one, we moved away from our home in NJ, quit our NYC jobs, and moved to the sunshine state. This was both the most exciting & terrifying chapter of our marriage yet, because at the time I was 21 weeks pregnant! After two grueling years of infertility, we were finally expecting a beautiful little miracle in August 2024.

At 7lbs4oz, Rory Thomas was born on the 16th and instantly became the center of our world.

Jacob, of course, was the best big brother and quickly took on his new role as his protector.

A few months later, we officially sold our condo on the Hudson and started construction on a home in Palm Beach Gardens. Building a house was an experience I’m grateful to have had. We were able to pick out every detail — the cabinets, the hardware, flooring and so much more. We moved in just before Rory’s first birthday and threw the one silly goose birthday party of my dreams shortly thereafter.

I went back to work for Condé Nast out of the Miami office, taking on a new role as Executive Account Director of Sales for American Fashion & Home Design. I was able to deepen my love for both categories, expand my managing skills & attend some really cool events! While I enjoyed the day to day, I knew my heart wasn’t really in it and recently decided to step away. Motherhood has always been my calling and I so very much look forward to spending priceless time with my little boy.

With this, our next biggest chapter lies ahead of us — we’re moving, again!

While Palm Beach will still be our ‘home’, we were presented with an opportunity to return to NYC for Richie’s career & we couldn’t pass it up. Our hope is to return to Florida one day, but for now, we can’t wait for this next adventure. As I refresh and update TFMY for this new season of life, I’m so excited to bring you along on this journey just as I have in the past.

What you can expect from me: a lot of motherhood, but also, the original fun stuff — style content, travel recaps with must-do’s, shopable links, and most importantly, no gatekeeping! For all the mamas, I also have so many fun ideas for toddler content that I can’t wait to dive into once we’re settled into our new home. Shopping for Rory is easily one of my favorite hobbies, so you can be sure there will be a lot of Zara finds you’ll be sure to know about.
