Glass Half Full, Always

Sending you a virtual salud with my half-filled glass of gratitude & L.O.V.E!

Hey babe, how are you? No really, how ARE YOU? Let’s catch up. I’ve been seeing a lot of IG posts about how to truly connect with others even when we’re six feet (or more) apart. More importantly, emphasizing that however you feel is perfectly fine.

It’s okay to have BIG feels.

Let me repeat that. IT’S OK TO HAVE BIG FEELS!

It goes without saying that 2020 was not the year that everyone was hoping it would be. Weddings have been postponed, life plans have been put on pause and for some, lives have been changed forever. That’s heavy.

There’s two things that the past five months have taught me: never, ever take life for granted and know the importance of communication. Pause. I’m not saying the impersonal ‘Hi, how are you’ in passing - I’m talking about picking up the phone, FaceTiming & texting your loved ones. I’m talking about genuinely asking and listening to how others feel. In fact, I encourage diving deep into conversations about hard topics like race, political injustices and even the canceled wedding plans. Not sure where to start? A few suggestions: How can I support you? How is your heart feeling today? What have you done for just you today?

Keeping your glass half full:

Nature is neat, so put down the phone and GET OUTSIDE. Remember to fill your cup with grace, vitamin D and courage to speak your truth [no matter what that looks like].

With sushi in my hand & love in my heart, I hope these words spark you to take action today and forever.

XO, Nicole

PS. I’m always here to listen!
