Our First Married Christmas

Have yourself a very married Christmas.

They’re here! Yesterday a very exciting package arrived & I couldn’t be happier to share with you what was inside! Our very first Christmas card (!!!). Year after year, I’ve watched my mom pull out her famous address book and write well wishes to our family & friends across the globe - all in the spirit of sending holiday cheer. Growing up I loved the excitement of checking the mailbox in December to see whose holiday card we’d get that day. I loved seeing the snapshots of the year’s highs scattered across our china cabinet. For years I’ve dreamed of the day when I too would have my very own card to send out - one that highlighted the highs of my year & my future family. For 2020, what better first Christmas card to send to family & friends than a card we can only send once in a lifetime.

It didn’t take me long on Minted to land on this very simplistic ‘married’ Christmas themed card. It took me even less time to decide on which photo to use: aka my very favorite photo from our wedding. A funny side note about this photo - pretty much everyone who sees it thinks Richie is wearing a yamaka because of how the light reflects off of my veil. We’re not Jewish, so there was no yamaka, but it makes me chuckle every time someone mentions it. Even more of a reason to love it.

Minted also offers FREE recipient addressing & some of the cutest envelope enhancements to really tie your design together. Since I went with a B&W photo, I added a pop of color with red bubble text. Truth be told, I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!

Still haven’t created your one-of-a-kind holiday card AND you missed the Cyber Monday sales? You’re in luck because I’ve got some holiday cheer of my own to share with you! The warmest of wishes for you & your family, the happiest of New Years and 25% off your very first Minted order of $100+.

XO, the Westerlinds

PS. to my friends who are also lovers of snail mail and want to keep up with the Westerlinds, I would love to exchange information with you! Send me your address details via private message on IG or via email - I’ll share mine back and we’ll be holiday pen pals for life! :)
