Four Days in Little Cayman
Find joy in the little things in life.
Little Cayman is a gorgeous island that sits 60 miles northeast of Grand Cayman in the Caribbean. With four restaurants, a shack for an airport & no cellphone reception, it's one of the most remote place I've ever been too.
Making it the ideal location for a 4-day-get-away!
Lined with coconut trees & a panoramic view of blue, Little Cayman is known for some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean. I had my own experience of a lifetime, spotting nurse sharks below while snorkeling along the surface. Feel free to bring your own equipment or rent from the local dive resort.
If you'd rather explore the views from atop the shoreline, try paddle-boarding, kayaking or my favorite - floating on an inflatable swan. *Yes, I brought my own inflatable swan with me & it was so worth it - pictured below*
In addition to the gorgeous scenery & explorations, Little Cayman has a backyard full of fresh seafood. If you're a fan of Conch, you're in luck because the island is loaded with the delicacy! Since there are a ton of Conch reserves surrounding the island, make sure you have a map showing where you can legally fish.
After hours of having fun in the sun & enjoying fresh conch fritters for lunch and dinner, my nights were spent star gazing from the resort hot tub. With little-to-no light pollution, constellations & shooting stars could be seen for miles. A true out-of-the-movies experience!
The take-away: if you're looking for a true island escape, think Little Cayman.
See you in the Caribbean!
